On April 5, the Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship jointly with the Russian Export Center (REC) held a meeting with representatives of Moscow biomedical companies. Run as part of the program to support non-resource exports and international cooperation, the event was focused on REC and its services.
In his welcome address, Igor Chmutin, the head of the shared resource center at Slava, told the guests about the technology park and its residents.
Gyulnara Agamova, the head of intellectual property department at Moscow Agency of Innovations, moderated the event.
The goal of the seminar was to inform Moscow manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and healthcare equipment on opportunities available at the procurement platform of the United Nations Organization.
To boost Moscow's presence on the platform, it is necessary to increase the number of companies accredited to participate in various UN tenders.
Maxim Chapov, a senior export specialist with REC, provided detailed information about his organization and shared his insights on such issues as external market analysis, international certification and patents. He also talked about working with international partners and how to find them.
His colleague Elena Vasilieva, a special projects expert with REC, focused her presentation on the UN procurement division, its global sourcing policies and regulations. She also talked about the position of Russian suppliers in the UN procurement system, and explained the registration procedure for participating in UN tenders.
