Moscow Agency of Innovations announces the launch of Stanislavsky Ventures, a project designed to prepare Moscow-based startups and tech companies for top-level competition at such events as TechCrunch Disrupt, The Next Web, Web Summit, SXSW, and others. Application submissions will be accepted from April 5 through April 30 at the agency's website.
The goal of the project is to raise awareness of Moscow's innovation companies and expand their presence on international technology markets.
Selected companies will have an opportunity to participate in the free-of-charge program and receive guidance from top international mentors specifically identified to match the needs of these companies. The five-month program includes: access to western industrial partners; business consulting sessions of international experts covering a wide range of subjects including international go-to-market strategies; public speaking classes; media support for winners of the competition. It is expected that several dozens of companies will qualify for the first edition of Stanislavsky Ventures.
“International competitions have often served as runways for many well-known startups. For example, the personal cybercoach Mobalytics was a star of TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield, and at the end of 2016 raised $2.6 million in seed funding from Almaz Capital and several western venture funds. It may seem that pitches and competitions are easy to deal with, but each of them requires serious preparation that helps companies structure many internal processes. Moscow has always maintained a modest presence at both TechCrunch Disrupt and SLUSH. I am glad that now we have a professional team focused on this project,” says Alexey Parabuchev, the CEO of Moscow Agency of Innovations.
