“We are signing this agreement to streamline our joint activities, facilitate information exchange, and boost Moscow's export potential by participating in various trade show events and organizing training programs,” said Sergei Sobyanin.
The mayor emphasized that supporting local manufacturers is one of the priorities for the Moscow government; with 2,800 Moscow-registered companies selling their products abroad, the city is the largest exporter in Russia.
“Obviously, for Moscow and for the Russian economy in general, the export of modern technology-intensive products is a critical area that requires joint efforts. I thank Mr. Fradkov for the active beginning of our collaboration and for preparing this agreement within a very short period of time,” said the mayor. “This agreement will give an impetus to the growth of exports from Moscow.”
