Made in Moscow to Showcase 16 Companies in Africa

Manufacturers of construction materials, tools, and industrial equipment will meet potential partners to discuss export opportunities in African countries.

16 exporters from Moscow will take part in African Construction Expo 2019. They will present their products in South Africa's Johannesburg under the Made in Moscow brand.

From June 11 through June 13, representatives of Moscow companies providing construction engineering, finishing, design and utility services, as well as manufacturers of construction materials, tools, and industrial equipment will be able to meet with their potential partners on the African market.

Each year, Johannesburg's Construction Expo brings together more than 9,500 professionals from at least 65 countries.

“In 2018, the volume of non-energy exports from Moscow to South Africa amounted to 26.3 million US dollars. This year, 16 Moscow companies will take part in the South African Construction Expo. I am sure that participation in the event will allow Moscow manufacturers to increase their exports to the African continent,” said Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department for Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.

Prior to the trade show, Moscow entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to take a course on doing business in South Africa at the Moscow Exporter School. This will make up for the lack of information about the economy of the continent.

Launched in 2016, the Made in Moscow program is designed to help local manufacturers promote their products abroad. The Government of Moscow covers up to 100% of international event participation costs for eligible companies, facilitates meetings with potential investors and partners.
