Strogino to Accommodate New Companies and Create New Jobs

Strogino Technology Park has been awarded the status of a Moscow investment priority project. This will enable the park to accommodate new hi-tech enterprises on its premises, according to Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

“The status of an investment priority project is awarded to certain projects to support the priority areas of the city's economy. In this particular case, we are talking about innovative companies that produce medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and design energy saving solutions. The value of investment in this project is expected to reach 606 million rubles,” said Prokhorov.

New resident companies will create new jobs. The average monthly salary at these companies will be at least 72 thousand rubles.

In accordance with Strogino's development plan, four capital construction facilities will undergo improvements in the near future. The technology park's total capital construction area is expected to increase from 17 thousand square meters in 2018 to 27 thousand square meters in 2020.

The Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development is overseeing the operations of 49 industrial complexes and 35 technology parks, which together provide jobs to more than 96 thousand people.

The city has a comprehensive support system for technology parks and their residents. The benefits include income, land and property tax incentives, and lower land rental rates. This support reduces the tax burden on the residents and investors by up to 25 percent compared to the average level.
