Moscow Entrepreneurs Can Reimburse Half of Their Event Costs

As of June this year, local companies can apply for subsidies to reimburse up to 50% of their event costs. Applications are accepted through November 1.

The list of trade shows and conferences eligible for subsidies contains over 200 events. In addition to them, the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development will also subsidize participation in all events approved by the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs and the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI Approved Events and UFI Approved International Events).

The subsidy entitles entrepreneurs to reimburse up to 50% of their event costs: up to 350 thousand rubles for Russian events and up to 700 thousand rubles for events in other countries.

“Participation in exhibitions is essential for entrepreneurs as it provides them with a chance to present their products to potential customers, improve brand awareness, and strengthen partner relationships. That is why we've expanded the list of events eligible for financial assistance to entrepreneurs, for which the Moscow government will partially cover event registration, space and on-site construction costs. Not all Moscow entrepreneurs are aware of this opportunity. Booking a visit from our consultant is an easy way to learn about all the incentives provided by the city,” says Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.

The On-Site Consultant service enables local businessmen and women to receive detailed information on all government support options available to them in Moscow. The service is provided by the Small Business of Moscow, a government institution under the  Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development. To book a consultant visit, entrepreneurs must fill a special form at MBM.RU.
